How full is your bucket?
This week we have been focusing on our feelings; learning how to recognize the feelings of others and ourselves. Specifically the cause and effect or our words and actions.
"How Full is Your Bucket?" by Tom Roth and Mary Reckmeyer is a story that teaches us that every person and even animal has an invisible bucket above their heard. When that bucket is full we feel amazing and when it is empty we do not. With this concept in mind we began learning about the difference between a Bucket Filler and a Bucket Dipper.
We went on a Nose Hill Park adventure; exploring colours in nature and collecting learves and “flowers” to create a special bouquet for our loved ones. We are Bucket Fillers!
This week we explored a bunch with colours; finding, matching and mixing. Not only do we enjoy this activity but Pan does also. :)
Some of the other activities we did this week include; making our own pizzas and pasta sauce, shadow play, practicing our cutting, matching and gluing shapes (gluing those shapes is not as easy as it looks!) We also practiced our ABCs using playdough and cookie cutters; learning how to roll, squish and flatten playdough to build letters.
I look forward to another exciting week with the munchkins!
