The kids and I are very thankful for all that we have in our lives. They did such a great job thinking up what they are thankful for. Some of the ideas are very sweet! (See one of the pictures!) Some drew what they are thankful for in their journals as well.
In addition to being thankful, we learned about words such as generous, grateful and appreciate.
The kids practiced their cutting and gluing with their thankful turkeys. They also made fancy turkeys by colouring a coffee filter and spraying it with a water to make the turkey feathers. Magic!
They played with Cinnamon/Clove play dough, feathers, googly eyes and sticks to create all sorts of things and stretch their fine motor skills.
The kids also threaded yarn through laminated paper leaves, built number puzzles and practiced writing numbers from the puzzles on the board. Some are working on holding their writing utensils in a tripod grasp.
Our letters this week were T and I. We did various activities including songs, building, writing, puzzles and letter sounds.
