Ribbit! Ribbit! We had lots of fun being frogs this week! There was definitely a lot of rabbiting and hopping around!
We talked about what we already knew about frogs and some things we didn’t such as what frogs eat and how they catch their food. We played a game where the uppercase lettered frogs have to catch the lowercase lettered flies.
We also learned about the frog lifecycle using cartoon images and real life images to sequence and match. They also took notice of the words within the frog names (ie: Froglet says both “frog” and “let”). Great job!
We explored our creative sides by finger painting a frog on tinfoil, and making paper bag puppet frogs. We also participated in a directed frog drawing, using mostly ovals and circles.
There was a lot of fun to be had singing our Little Green Frog song. Watching their faces as they did the actions was hilarious and pretty cute!
Letters M and N, and K words that sound like N. What a clever bunch! They took notice of all these word families just by listening to Letter M songs, at which time they told me I had to write them down! Too funny
Such great little helpers I have! Cleaning up the slush from the sidewalks. What makes it extra fun is running down the sidewalk, pushing slush with a shovel and splashing into the puddle at the end of the sidewalk.
